Catarratto Lucido is the ne variety of the white grape most produced in Italy.
It is an intense and strong wine in smell and taste. It is elegant, perfect with shellfish and fish soups.
The harvest of Catarratto Lucido generally takes place in the last week of August
and comes from selected vineyards set at minimum 250 meters above sea level. After the harvest, the grape is quickly bought to the winery and the stalks are removed from the grape. The must and the skins are chilled at 4° – 8° for 12 hours. A ne pressing process precedes the fermentation which occurs at 16° – 18° C for 15 – 18 days.
